Christmas decorations are in full swing here, and we’ve just made the most beautiful Christmas wreath! I say “we,” but honestly, it was all Nila’s work. She’s done an absolutely amazing job, and I couldn’t be prouder of her creativity.
We used the Christmas Wreath Making Kit from Baker Ross, which was a fantastic choice. It comes with everything you need to make a stunning wreath, making the whole process simple and stress-free. If you’re looking for a family-friendly festive activity, I can’t recommend this kit enough.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
Each kit includes:
- Glue
- Berries
- Tree tinsel
- Two ribbons (one tartan and one red)
- A 20cm card wreath frame
- Berries with leaves & pine cones
Everything is thoughtfully included, so you don’t need to buy anything extra. The materials are of good quality too, which is always a bonus when crafting with kids.
HOW TO MAKE IT
We started by glueing the tree tinsel onto the wreath frame. This created the base for our design and gave it a nice, full look. After that, we took the tartan ribbon and wrapped it around the frame, spacing it out evenly. Then, we did the same with the thinner red ribbon, layering it for a lovely festive touch.
Once the base was ready, Nila really got into the creative spirit! She decided where she wanted to add the berries, carefully glued them on, and then worked on the pine cones and leaves. These pieces were so easy to attach thanks to their bendable ends, which made them secure without any hassle. It was great to see her so focused and enjoying the process.

After everything was in place, we left the wreath to dry for a while to make sure it was sturdy. Finally, we hung it on our front door, and it looked absolutely stunning. The combination of the tartan ribbon, glittery tinsel, and natural pine cones gave it such a classic Christmas feel.
WHY WE LOVED IT
This project was not only fun but Nila couldn’t stop smiling when she saw her masterpiece hanging on the door. It’s such a simple craft, but it makes such a big impact. Plus, it’s always special to create your own decorations rather than just buying them all the time.
Crafting together is one of my favourite ways to get into the Christmas spirit. It’s a chance to slow down, spend quality time together and create something lovely.
Do you have your wreath up yet? If not, I highly recommend giving this kit a try. It’s perfect for kids, Happy Crafting!.
